MainStreet
Loudoun consultant Tripp Muldrow reported the results of his community
assessment of Round Hill at the Round Hill MainStreet Committee
meeting. The assessment should provide a blueprint the Town can follow
in its pursuit of economic development. Muldrow discussed Round Hill's
unique character and the marketing advantage of being the Loudoun town
closest to the Blue Ridge Mountains. He also cited the potential
"branding" of Round Hill as an arts town, noting the proximity of the
Franklin Park Barns and the activity of the Round Hill Arts Center.
The MainStreet Committee meets the first Monday of each month at 7
p.m. at the Town Office. |

The Loudoun
Design Cabinet held a design charrette to develop a concept plan for
the Rt. 7 commercial district. Jay Donegan, retail leasing and
development agent for the Eckles family, attended. He stated that he
was still studying the technical feasibility of commercial development
on the site and, consequently, believes the beginning of any
construction is at least 12 to 18 months away.
