Route 7 Commercial District

The 12-acre property at the northeast corner of East Loudoun Street and Evening Star Drive has been designated to be a commercial area.

The Town is currently negotiating with the County to incorporate the property into Town limits for utility and tax base purposes. (See below and annexation.)

The property has also been the subject of design study as part of the Streetscape Master Plan.

5/3/04 A public input workshop was held by the Commerical Development Subcommittee of the Steering Committee to Amend Round Hill's Comprehensive Plan to solicit public comment on develpment of this property. Meeting Notes | Citizen Input
4/26/04 At a joint meeting of the Town Council, Planning Commission and interested public, Mayor Etro formed a Steering Committee to draft an amendment to the Town's Comprehensive Plan that would guide development on property annexed into Town. The commercial sub-committee, which has agreed to meeting weekly on Monday nights from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. through mid- to late-June, will address Rt. 7 east, Main Street, and the Hill High Orchard property west of Town.
