Webster/Cockrill/Thomas Property

Bay Homes, owned by Round Hill resident Carter Morrow, is proposing to build 35 homes at the by-right zoning on approximately 30 acres on the west side of town. Part of the property is located within Town boundaries and is zoned R-2; the remainder is zoned JLMA-1. The property is bordered by West Loudoun Street to the south and the Loudoun County School Board property to the north.

Action to date
10/7/04 The Town Council was asked for, and voted to extend, a "will-serve" letter for the construction of 35 homes on the west end of Town. The will-serve letter states that the Town will provide water and sewer connections to these homes. The homes will be built on what is now the Webster, Cockrill and Thomas properties. Five of the lots are currently within Town limits; the other 30 are within the Town's JLMA (joint land management area). Bay Homes is building the homes "by-right," at the zoned density of two houses per acre for the in-Town lots and one per acre for the lots in the JLMA. A concept development plan should be available within a few weeks.
3/25/04 A public information workshop was held. Carter Morrow of Bay Homes, the contractor, made a presentation of his plans. Meeting Notes
